Coaching & Consulting
Sometimes the obstacle isn’t a mental health condition — it’s the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Coaching at Better Day Therapy is a practical, forward-looking service for adults who want to function better, think more clearly, and make meaningful progress in their work and lives. Whether you’re navigating a career transition, struggling with focus and follow-through, managing burnout, or simply feeling stuck, coaching provides structure, tools, and accountability to help you move forward.
What coaching addresses
Coaching sessions are goal-oriented and practical. Common areas of focus include:
• ADHD and executive function — focus, time awareness, task initiation, and follow-through
• Work-life balance and burnout — identifying what’s unsustainable and building something that works
• Career transitions — clarifying direction, managing change, and building confidence in new roles
• Productivity and organization — external systems and routines that reduce daily cognitive load
• Goal-setting and accountability — defining what you want and building a realistic path to get there
• Emotional regulation — managing frustration, reactivity, and the feelings that get in the way of progress
ADHD Coaching
Adults with ADHD — diagnosed or self-identified — often struggle with systems and environments that weren’t built for how their brains work. Coaching addresses the specific functional challenges of ADHD: time blindness, difficulty starting tasks, emotional intensity, and the exhaustion of constantly compensating. Sessions are practical and structured, focused on building strategies that actually work rather than trying harder at approaches that haven’t.
Coaching vs. therapy
Coaching and therapy are different services that complement each other well. Coaching is forward-looking and action-oriented — it focuses on function, behavior, and goals. Therapy addresses the psychological and emotional dimensions of what you’re carrying, including the history behind current patterns. Both are available and many clients benefit from a combination of the two.
Who this is for
Coaching and consultation services are available for adults who want practical support — with or without a formal diagnosis. You do not need to be a therapy client at Better Day Therapy to access coaching.
Coaching and consultation are not clinical services and do not constitute mental health treatment. If you’re unsure whether coaching or therapy is the right fit, a consultation can help clarify.
